PRESS RELEASE: HOMICIDE DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE

Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying an individual for his involvement in the murder of Brodrick Miller Jr, 28, of Sacramento.

On February 26, 2018, at 9:47 p.m. the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Communication Center received multiple 911 calls from the area of Edison Avenue and Truax Court within north Sacramento County. Several callers reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and located the victim inside a vehicle who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies provided first-aid and performed life-saving measures on the victim but he was later pronounced dead by arriving personnel from the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.

Detectives located the individual (pictured) through surveillance cameras in the area of the homicide. He is described as approximately 18-25 years old, thin build, five feet eight inches to six feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and dark colored pants. This subject was seen in and around the apartment complex on Truax Court prior to the murder. The motive of the crime is unknown at this time.
